Cal's Place was a perfect location for our short stay in Melbourne.  Close to the places we needed to go but secluded enough to be a small oasis in which we could relax and enjoy the atmosphere, environment and the peace and quiet.

The accommodation was ample, tasteful and comfortable with lots of light and a beautiful vista.  It was great to watch the birds in the trees.

Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.  The accommodation was perfect and we lacked nothing @ all on our stay.

The girls had a wonderful time with your children and enjoyed the pool and trampoline.
You have set the place up beautifully with all the amenities to make us feel right at home.

The proximity to the city and suburbs that we wanted to visit was perfect.  And it allowed us access to the city TOLL free

We wish you all the best with the Business and whilst your accommodation may not be a Destination, once visited anyone wishing to visit Melbourne again would surely return.

A relaxing enjoyable stay for our 2010 National Schools Championships.

Quiet, secluded yet accessible, we all enjoyed our time here amongst the treetops with very pleasant hosts We will return!!

What a wonderful place, I woke up to the sound of birds singing, relaxed with a coffee and the paper by the pool, it is soooo good for the soul, I'm coming back.

Cal's Place is gorgeous - Cal made us feel very welcome and special.  It's not like anywhere else we've stayed as we had so much privacy but everything we could have needed was available to us ... and the beds are so comfortable.

I applied for two positions with my new resume. Within two days I had interviews for both positions on the same day.

The first company wanted me to come back to meet the Managing director, and the second company offered me a position there and then. My only warning would be to make sure you only apply for jobs you REALLY want, because you're likely to get the interview.

I was preparing  to move my family of five to Melbourne quickly and came over for a reccie before making our final decision. Carolyn directed me to an excellent property buyer to help me find just the right house, and made arrangements for schools to suit each child.  It was great living with her family as we could really get to know the Australian way of life. I think it was money well spent.

Carolyn and her family made us very welcome and helped us build our new life in Melbourne. She had an insight into what we were looking for in a home and schools from the start and helped us find it. I know we made better choices because of her advice.

I had almost given up on going living in Australia because the decisions were all so complicated and nothing made sense – Carolyn cleared the way so that we could make decisions we were happy with.  The accommodation and hospitality she provided was better than anything I could imagine. Carolyn helped with the big things and the little things, not only did she help us with short term accommodation and schools for the children, but she helped me organise my daughter’s piano lessons, converting our driving licences, and showed me that I could negotiate to buy electrical goods below the advertised prices or if I had felt nervous I knew she would do the negotiations for me.

I asked Carolyn to help me at very short notice and she came to the rescue,  She helped me sort out which area of Melbourne to live in, and went though all the choices for school.  Then she took me round the area so I didn’t get lost. She really cares that you get what you want, and is very good at listening and coming up with solutions. I cannot imagine trying to settle in without Carolyn’s help – I would have been completely lost – it’s all very well making long distance phone calls, or trying to sort things over the internet – but you can only really get things sorted when you are there.

I used to ring Carolyn once a day with details of what I wanted, and when I woke up in the morning an email was there with all the information I needed. I am so grateful to New Life in Melbourne for their help with relocating, they thought of everything. When I arrived there was a desk full of information for me, reports on schools, arrangements for meeting with the property buyers and reports on car prices, maps, a whole mass of information, it would have taken ages for me to get this together for myself. She took all the problems I had away – I lost my passport and she sorted that, she arranged a hair appointment for me which was great for a bit of relaxation. The pool was just great after a day of job hunting. 

When I left I felt that Carolyn had shown me everything I needed to see and helped me understand all I needed to understand to make the right decisions. We've decided to delay the move to Melbourne for a couple of years and will be very excited to meet the family again when we come.

We met Carolyn through the British Expats prior to our first visit to Australia and from the start Carolyn has been an invaluable source of help for us providing us with all manner of information. She is extremely friendly even inviting us round for a barbecue when we came over for our reccie! We couldn't have hoped to have met a nicer more helpful person. She has made the whole process of moving to Australia a lot easier!!
